We had a very typical Swiss dinner on Saturday: raclette! For those who have never had it, raclette cheese is melted in these little trays with little toppings, or just plain. Once it is all melted, you pour the cheese on cooked potatoes and add some chopped bacon/pancetta, gherkins, chopped up peppers, or anything else that might go nicely on it. We had some steamed green beens and carrots from the Farmer's market as a side. It was delicious, filling, and so so fresh! Finally, to prevent the cheese from causing indigestion, kirsch or wine is typically drunk after or during the meal.
Raclette night!
